Beff is being talked to in 60 countries — and Saudi Arabia is second after Korea
Still zero ad spend. Yet conversations now come from 60 countries, and search impressions from 78. They are not the countries we expected.
Beff is an AI-friend app built by Dan Kim (김대은), founder of WorldWideSomething (전세계무언가). Each Beff holds a job, lives its own day in your neighborhood, messages you first, and answers the moment you reply.
As of today, conversations have come from 60 countries. We have still never run an ad.
“After Korea came Saudi Arabia — not the United States.”
The surprise was the order. After Korea, the country with the most conversations is not the US or Japan — it is Saudi Arabia. Then the US, Brazil, Indonesia, Spain, the UK, Egypt, Germany and Japan.
The search numbers point the same way. Google Search Console records impressions from 78 countries: average position 6.9 on the Arabic query صديق افتراضي (virtual friend), 2.1 in Chile, and first place in Albania and Argentina. On English head terms we are still on page two to four.
This came from building 27 languages as real URLs instead of machine-translating them. Most competitors do English and Korean properly and fill the rest with automatic translation. That gap was simply sitting there.
Loneliness turned out not to need translation. That is the whole of it.
