Article 1 (Service)
A location-based service for exchanging letters with strangers. Authors are responsible for letter and chat content; this is not a medical or counseling service.
Article 2 (Signup & age)
Sign in with Google, Apple, or Kakao, or use as a guest. Under-12s may not use the service; birth year is verified at sign-up. Ages 12 to 18 may have restricted direct exposure to adults, and sexual solicitation or meet-up requests mean permanent suspension and referral to authorities. There is no adult-only (19+) section.
Article 3 (Rules, sanctions & reports)
Prohibited: reverse-tracking and stalking via location, sexual messages or images, contacting minors for meet-ups, redistributing captures, defamation, abuse, obscenity, and soliciting personal data. Sanctions run warning, suspension, then permanent ban, with immediate suspension without notice for imminent-harm cases. Appeals by email are accepted, and intentional false reporters face restriction. In-app reports are reviewed within 24 hours with outcomes notified; urgent reports (sexual exploitation, self-harm) are prioritized.
Article 4 (SC & subscriptions)
Somebody Coins (SC) and subscriptions (Plus/Pro) are sold through App Store and Google Play with refunds per each store’s policy. Subscriptions renew monthly, cancellable in store settings while remaining valid until the period ends. Used or expired SC and consumed benefits are generally non-refundable. Minor purchases need guardian consent and may be cancelled absent consent. Virtual goods cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
Article 5 (Deletion, liability & law)
Account deletion promptly destroys device and profile copies, though recipient and legally retained copies may remain; deleted data cannot be restored. Letter disputes are primarily between the parties, and we are not liable absent willful misconduct or gross negligence. Governed by Korean law with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
