Excuse me Terms of Service
Excuse me · WorldWideSomething · contact@worldwidesomething.com
1. Service
Excuse me places a “scheduled call” (a simulated call, not a real telephone call) on your own phone at the time you choose. The call is generated by the app and is not a carrier call. The voice is produced by your phone’s text-to-speech. The app name (Excuse me scheduled call) is shown on screens and in the calling account.
The service is for politely leaving uncomfortable situations, practice and fun. It is not an emergency channel — in an emergency contact the real authorities (112 / 119 or your local number). Calls may be late or not arrive while the phone is off or rebooting, under Do Not Disturb or battery saving, or when permissions are off.
2. Account
Core features (scheduling, purchases) require signing in with a Kakao, Google or Apple account. You can browse the app intro and settings without signing in. Under-14s may not sign up or use the service. Use only your own account; you can leave anytime with Delete data in Settings.
3. Free trial, Pro lifetime and points
The first 3 calls (2 test calls are separate) are free. After that, a one-time Pro lifetime purchase lets you place calls without limit (not a subscription; no recurring charge). “Lifetime” means as long as the service is provided; we announce shutdown 30 days ahead.
Points unlock extra people slots and premium voices. Points are for use inside the service only, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play and refunds follow each store’s policy. Points granted by a refunded purchase are reclaimed for the unspent amount. The lifetime pass moves to a new phone with Restore purchases on the same store account; points, unlocked voices and slots are stored on your signed-in account. Statutory withdrawal rights apply where available.
The free trial is counted per account and per phone, using a phone-key hash to stop it from being repeated by reinstalling or re-registering (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Prohibited use
You may not use the service to obtain money or information by deceiving others, or for fraud, threats or harassment; to impersonate police, hospitals, financial or other public institutions or real people; to fake an emergency or file false reports; to cheat in exams, interviews or legal procedures; or to hack the service or bypass the trial or payments. Violations may lead to restriction.
5. Liability
The service is provided as is and we do not guarantee a call at the exact time (it depends on the phone’s state, manufacturer battery policies and permissions). Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damage caused by a call not arriving. You are responsible for problems caused by unlawful use.
6. Leaving, changes and disputes
When you leave, records are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy (except purchase records kept by law) and cannot be restored. Terms changes are announced in the app and on the web 7 days before (30 days if adverse). Governed by Korean law; disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
